Workshops – Masterclasses
Several workshops and masterclasses take place during the school year. These activities create an exchange among participants, offer the experience of group synergy, and foster the development of a class spirit.
Masterclasses
Masterclasses are group lessons given either by the main teacher or by a guest teacher and are excellent opportunities to progress in the art of piano. In addition to the weekly individual lesson, these masterclasses allow students to approach the repertoire in a different setting and from another perspective, consolidate their skills through concert simulations, and broaden their musical understanding.
Workshops
Workshops, on the other hand, focus on specific themes that are explored during the session. These can include topics related to piano technique (sound, listening, polyphony), a particular genre or form (Chopin’s preludes, concerto with orchestra), analysis and composition (harmony, counterpoint, forms and styles), and others.
