Alexis Carré
Alexis Carré began playing piano at the age of four. He studied with Emmanuelle Le Cann in Auxerre (France), then Tatiana Goncharova in New York City (USA) before joining the class of Dominique Cornil at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium). Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Composition and two Master’s degrees—one in Performance and the other in Accompaniment—his professional practice developed rapidly. Between 2015 and 2018, he was appointed staff accompanist at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University (USA), where he accompanied, among others, the prestigious BYU Men’s Chorus, a choir of over 150 singers.
Alexis has benefited from several masterclasses, including with Lars Vogt, Roland Pöntinen, Vardan Mamikonian, and Tamas Ungar. He has been invited by the Young Belgian Strings Orchestra and collaborates with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Brigham Young University. He performs in Belgium as well as in various European countries and in the United States, as a soloist or accompanist.
After working as a piano teacher in various private schools in Belgium, he settled in the Lille area and became a staff accompanist at the Conservatory of Wattrelos. He also teaches Sight-reading and Transposition at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he continues to work as a staff accompanist.
In 2025, he joined the Michel Muller Piano School in Geneva and looks forward to sharing his experience and enthusiasm with the students.
